【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthephysicalandmagneticcharacteristicsofa12,7mmwide,18-trackmagnetictapecartridge,toenableinterchangeabilityofsuchcartridges.Italsospecifiesthequalityoftherecordedsignals,theformatandtherecordingmethod,thusallowing,togetherwithISO1001,fulldatainterchangebymeansofsuchmagnetictapecartridges.ThecartridgeandrecordingmethodareidenticalwiththosedescribedinISO9661.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesextensionstothetransformationofdatabeforeitisformattedasinISO9661.Theseextensions-specifyamethodforincreasingtheutilizationofthetapebycombiningsmallerblocksofdataintoextendedblocks;-specifyamethodforidentifyingwhethertherecordeddatahasbeenprocessedand,ifithasbeenprocessed,thealgorithmusedforprocessing;-specifyamethodforincludingrecordeddatablocksconformingtothisInternationalStandardandrecordeddatablocksconformingtoISO9661onthesametape.ThepemissibleroutesfortheflowofdataareshowninannexH.
