【摘要】:Thistechnicalreportdescribesfourtechniquesforthemeasurementofmicrobendingsensitivityofopticalfibre.MethodsAandBmayalsobeusedtomeasurethemicrobendingsensitivityofopticalfibreribbons.MethodsA,B,CandDaredistinguishedbytheequipmentusedformeasurementsandtheirapplications:·methodAusesanexpandabledrumandappliestoclassBfibres;·methodBusesafixeddiameterdrumandappliestocategoryA1andclassBfibres;·methodCusesawiremeshandappliedloadsandappliestocategoryA1andclassBfibres;·methodDusesa"basketweave"wraponafixeddiameterdrum,andappliestoclassBfibres.MethodsAandCofferthecapabilitytomeasurethemicrobendingsensitivityoverawiderangeofappliedlinearpressureorloads.MethodBmaybeusedtodeterminethemicrobendingsensitivityforafixedlinearpressure.Theresultsfromthefourmethodscanonlybecomparedqualitatively.Thesemethodsdonotconstitutearoutinetestusedinthegeneralevaluationofopticalfibre.Thisparameterisnotgenerallyspecifiedwithinadetailspecification.
