【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverscorrugatedaluminumalloystructuralplateusedintheconstructionofpipe,pipe-arches,arches,underpasses,boxculverts,andspecialshapesforfieldassembly.Appropriatefastenersarealsodescribed.Thepipe,arches,andothershapesaregenerallyusedfordrainagepurposes,pedestrianandvehicularunderpasses,andutilitytunnels.AluminumboxculvertshapesarecoveredinSpecificationB864/B864M.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotincluderequirementsforbedding,backfill,ortherelationshipbetweenearthcoverloadandplatethicknessofthepipe.Experiencehasshownthatthesuccessfulperformanceofthisproductdependsupontheproperselectionofplatethickness,typeofbeddingandbackfill,controlledmanufactureintheplant,andcareintheinstallation.Thepurchasermustcorrelatetheabovefactorsandalsothecorrosionandabrasionrequirementsofthefieldinstallationwiththeplatethickness.ThestructuraldesignofcorrugatedaluminumstructuralplatepipeandtheproperinstallationproceduresaregiveninPracticesB790/B790MandB789/B789M,respectively.Aprocedureforusinglife-cyclecostanalysistechniquestoevaluatealternatedrainagesystemdesignsusingcorrugatedmetalpipeisgiveninPracticeA930.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.
