【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.Itisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraesthetics,theultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4154exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoversknittedandwovenfabricscomprisedofanytextilefiberormixtureoffibersusedinmen''sandboy''sbeachwearandsportsshirts.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletoknittedandwovenfabricsusedforinterliningandswimwear.1.3Theserequirementsapplytoboththelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
