【摘要】:Thisstandarddefineseddycurrentexaminationtechniquesfordetectionofsurfacebreakingandnearsurfaceplanarimperfections,mainlyinferriticmaterials(weldmaterial,heataffectedzones,parentmaterials).Thiseddycurrenttechniquecanalsobeappliedtoothermetallicconstructionmaterials(e.g.stainlesssteels)ifrequiredbythedesignspecification.Thetechniquescanbeappliedtocoatedanduncoatedobjectsduringfabricationandinservice,onshoreandoffshore.Theexaminationcanbecarriedoutonallaccessiblesurfacesandonweldsofalmostanyconfiguration.Usually,itcanbeappliedintheas-weldedcondition.However,averyroughsurfacecanpreventanefficientexamination.Unlessotherwisespecifiedforspecificpointsinthisstandard,thegeneralprinciplesofprEN12084:1995apply.
