【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoprovidetheuserwithaprocesstoobtaindataonpackageperformancewhenapackagedproductissubjectedtoshock.Thesemeasurescanbeusedtoquantifyorqualifyapackagesystem.Datafromthispracticemayprovideameasureofapackagersquo;abilitytomitigatethevariouslevelsofshippingshockorimpacthazards.Thesemeasuresmaybeusedtoprescribeamodeofshippingandhandlingthatwillnotinducedamagetothepackagedproductortodefinetherequiredlevelsofprotectionthatmustbeprovidedbyitspackaging.ThispracticecouldpotentiallybeusedinconjunctionwiththedataderivedfromTestMethodD3332(MethodB)foroptimizingcushiondesign.Thispracticeobtainsdataattheinterfaceoftheproductandpackage(coupled)orelementresponse,dependingontheintentoftheuser(see10.1and10.1.1).1.1Thispracticecoversmethodsforobtainingmeasuredshockresponsesusinginstrumentationforanactualorsimulatedproductpackagesystemwhensubjectedtodefinedshockinputstomeasurepackageperformance.1.2Thispracticeestablishesmethodsforobtainingmeasuredshockdataforusewithshockandimpacttestmethods.ItisnotintendedasasubstituteforperformancetestingofshippingcontainersandsystemssuchasPracticeD4169.1.3Thispracticewilladdressaccelerationmeasuringtechniques.Otherwaysofmeasuringshockimpacts,suchashighspeedvideo,arenotcoveredbythispractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
