【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoversingle-andmultiple-jacketedlinedfirehosewithorwithoutcouplingsattached,inthetradesizesof1-1/2,1-3/4,2,2-1/2,3,3-1/2,4,5,and6inch(38,45,51,65,76,89,102,127,and152mmnominalID).Single-jacketedhoseisintendedforservicetestpressuresof150,200,or250psig(1035,1380,or1725kPa).Multiple-jacketedhoseorcoveredhosejudgedequivalenttomultiple-jacketedhoseisintendedforservicetestpressuresof200,300,or400psig(1380,2070,or2760kPa).1.2Theseproductsareintendedformunicipalandindustrialfireprotectionpurposes.Single-jacketedhoseisforuseatfirehydrants,standpipes,andsimilarplaces.Theyarenotintendedforhardusagenorwherethehosewillbesubjectedtochafingonroughorsharpsurfaces.Multiple-jacketedhoseorcoveredhosejudgedequivalenttomultiple-jacketedhoseareforuseonpumpersandinplaceswhereserviceconditionsrequiretheadditionalprotectionagainstwearaffordedbytheextrawovenjacketorcover.1.3Theproductscoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedtobeperiodicallyinspectedandmaintainedwhileinservice,asoutlinedintheStandardfortheCare,Use,andServiceTestingofFireHoseIncludingCouplingsandNozzles,NFPA1962.
